Proverbs 20:24 – The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?
I am one who typically wants to know “why”? I have dragged anyone who reads this blog on Thursdays through the journey of our relocation from one state to another. There were times when I could so clearly see God’s hand and then there is now. I applied for Job A and then saw Job B come out and wondered if that wasn’t a more desirable position and one I would enjoy more. I applied for Job B in case I didn’t get Job A and as it turns out, I did not get Job A, but did get Job B! Fast forward through the move, etc. As I settled into Job B and began preparing to begin teaching, I get a visit from my new supervisor who informs me that executive management is requiring him to give up a body to go to Job A! To be honest, this feels like a kick in the gut and I do not “understand everything”! BUT … GOD! As I write this, I do not know what God has in plan for me or “why” I have to move … BUT GOD!!! I fully believe and I am trusting in Him and praying for His wisdom and discernment in this matter, but in the mean time I will “press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 3:14) And I will, take refuge in Him knowing that His will is perfect for me!
Psalm 34:8 – Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
