Hebrews 10:24-25 – 24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
We are continuing the journey of moving cross country, moving into a rental house, etc. well, we have arrived at our destination and have been unloading boxes for six days straight!
It is interesting, though, how I wondered how this community of people will act towards strangers. We are now living in an area very heavy with military folks, so being new isn’t unfamiliar; almost the opposite where people may be reluctant to get to know others because they know that another move is inevitable! Some communities are very “closed” in that they don’t allow outsiders inside their social strata very easily.
We arrived last Thursday and on Sunday went to a church here I attended for a short time 17 years ago. Then it was a little country church … now a large building and much bigger congregation. No matter where we have gone in this new community since we arrived, whether received in a friendly manner or not, there was something about joining brothers and sisters, not knowing any if them, in worship and praise to our Savior! It was no different than being in our old, home church some 1500 miles away.
God is good … all the time … everywhere!!!
