Pressured … not crushed

“We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair; we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed. We always carry the death of Jesus in our body, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who live are always given over to death because of Jesus, so that Jesus’ life may also be revealed in our mortal flesh.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-12

As we continue our journey of relocating 1350 miles away from our kids and everything we have known for the last 17 years, the above scripture brings great relief! On top if everything involved with the move, one of our kids wrecked my wife’s car and one recently had a run in with law enforcement that cost them a great job before they could even get started! I was sharing this event with a friend and discussing how I feel like a failure as a parent sometimes. Especially when things like these happen. He reminded me of Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Our kids know right from wrong and have each accepted Christ at some point in their lives! I have to believe and lean heavily on Him now and always! Prayer appreciated!

Life happens … God is good … all the time!
