Love Lived Out…

Romans 12:9-19 shows us what Christ’s love looks like lived out thru His children.  Many of us don’t want to get involved with others, “too much drama!”  If you look at Jesus in the gospels, he intentionally lived out love in the lives of hurting, complicated people helping many to discover who He is, experiencing healing and eternal life as a result.  Psalm 34:18 declares that 18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  If Jesus has a special heart for the broken God hearted, so should we.  Now, let’s take a look at loved lived out in Romans 12:9-19.

  1. Love must be sincere __
  2. Hate what is evil __
  3. Cling to what is good __
  4. Be devoted to one another in love __
  5. Honor one another above yourselves __
  6. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord __
  7. Be joyful in hope __
  8. Patient in affliction __
  9. Faithful in prayer __
  10. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need __
  11. Practice hospitality __
  12. Bless those who persecute you __
  13. Bless and do not curse __
  14. Rejoice with those who rejoice __
  15. Mourn with those who mourn __
  16. Live in harmony with one another __
  17. Do not be proud but be willing to associate with people of low position __
  18. Do not be conceited __
  19. Do not repay anyone evil for evil __
  20. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone __
  21. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone __
  22. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath __

Go back and score yourself 1 to 5…1 being really bad and 5 being really good.

Continue to do the things that you are good at in the power and sensitivity in the Holy Spirit.  Ask God to help you work out those things that you are not good at and practice them.  Matthew 6 24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock…26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.  I suggest that you set aside two week chunks and practice each one of these that you are not good at one at a time.

Live out His love…
