“in Christ all the fullness of Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ” Colossians 2: 9, 10
“for who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Cor 2:16

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession” 1 Peter 2: 9.

Recently I have been struck by how these passages define us as Christ followers well beyond earthly limitations. They speak of our ‘fullness”, having the “mind of Christ” himself, being a “kingdom of priests” and a “holy nation”.
I cannot say I understand this, I certainly don’t always feel it. But these scriptures point to how God defines us, and how he has given us this elevated status in this world and fully equipped us to be his ambassadors (2 Cor 5:20) to those around us.
These were written to encourage God followers. To warn people to not fall into human reasoning or thinking that can weaken us. They are reminders that we are a people beyond systems defined by worldly criteria.
This is not here to “puff us up”, but rather to help us understand our identity, power, abilities, and status because of our relationship with God and the resultant responsibility that comes with this. Not to develop our own kingdom, but the priestly role we have to work to expand God’s Kingdom.
We are very empowered and very significant. We are priests, His treasured possession placed where we are to declare him to those around us.
Don’t think you lack what it takes to be his ambassador, his representation wherever you go. He has defined you and given you what it takes.
“For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.” 2 Corinthians 2:15.
