Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Working together with him, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For he says,
“In a favorable time I listened to you,
and in a day of salvation I have helped you.”
Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. We put no obstacle in anyone’s way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry, but as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: by great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, hunger; by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love; by truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left; through honor and dishonor, through slander and praise. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.

Excuse my long verses here… I missed last week and feel the need to over extend today…
Last week’s Monday was Christmas Eve, and as much as I wish the best holidays for everyone, I apologize for missing my Barnabas Man Post. Here we are a week later, now New Year’s Eve, and I’m hoping to regain my status of consistency.
SO…. New Year’s Eve… THE LAST DAY for you to make that change… make that promise… make that commitment to a “new you”. I’d like to be the last person this year to say this to you… but without CHRIST in you heart… it’s all for not. That’s right, New Year’s Eve is ACTUALLY the SAME DAY as every other day of this 2018 year and not a damn thing has changed.
NOTE: I say “without Christ in your heart”
That is … IF Christ has overcome your life and you have given yourself to HIM>>> EVERY DAY IS THE LAST DAY of the OLD YOU!!! I know … how refreshing right? I feel the same, because frankly, I am QUITE SICK of the OLD ME….. I am quite tired of the lack of character, the weak thoughts, the negativity, the pessimist… I ‘m tired of that guy!
I’m ready for the NEW… here this again… “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. “
and then also this : Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
Behold friends.. NOW IS THE FAVORABLE TIME, BEHOLD, NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.
This statement is true e very day for the Christ follower. This TRUTH is real for us each morning! SO yeah, today is the last day of the old me, but for the ones that ignore God’s Hand this is the SAME DAY as every other….
For you… it’s the NEWEST day every day… to be renewed, to be challenged, to be questioned, to be needed, to be on MISSION … its’ the newest day to love, to create, to inspire, to bleed, and to grow… TODAY is the favorable time for those under Christ’s reign. Waste not one more day undecided, join the mission. Happy New Year!
