Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound by hope.
Let’s not forget that Jesus is the “Bread of life.” John 6:35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”
In the initial verse above, the first slice of “Bread” is “the God of hope.” And, it says, “May the God of Hope.” What a beautiful description of God! The 2nd slice of “Bread” is “the power of the Holy Spirit.” And, it proclaims “so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Our hope is powered by the Holy Spirit! It is not a feeling. Hope is the realization of much more than who we as Whose we are. Hope is a God thing. When you get to know our loving God allowing the Holy Spirit to fill you, you will experience HOPE!
This verse proclaims that the God of hope “fill(s) you with all joy and peace in believing.” What a filling between the two pieces of bread. “Joy and peace” are absolutely delicious. And, they are produced in the sphere of “believing.” Joy and peace result from our belief in Jesus…knowing our identity as a believer and living our lives by faith in Him.
“Eat” this sandwich all day long (memorize this verse and meditate on it) and you will “abound by hope.” Enjoy!
