Excuse Me While I Re-Boot

I woke up this morning emotionally numb.  There is nothing burning in my soul to share with you.  So, please excuse me why I re-boot myself spiritually.  I will start with activating my operating system, FAITH.  And, So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ (Romans 10:17).  Christ prayed to His Father on my behalf in John 17:17, “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”  Hebrews 4:12 declares, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.  Man, that is powerful stuff!

Now, with my operating system of FAITH open, my spirit rejoices.  In Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see…6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Please give me a few seconds to focus on my Lord and Savior.  Hebrews 13:8 states, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”  Now, allow me to scoot back up several verses to Hebrews 13:5 “God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’”  Hebrews 12:1 commands “us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”  Hallelujah!!

Philippians 4:4 exclaims “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice.”  1 Thessalonians 5:16-1816 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Today is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice giving Him praise all day long!

  1. I absolutely love this! I have been in “re-boot” mode this week. Sometimes we need to take a step back from the hustle and bustle and just listen.
