True Dad

1 John 5:9 – If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son.

Son,

So often I look at you and am so amazed at the man you have become. I wish to tell you of every mistake I have made, not only when being your father, but from the times before you were born as well. My plans include revealing everything to you over the years to come, as painful as it may be to hear of my failures, shortcomings, and poor decisions.

Now, as manhood is upon you I’d rather tell you about what your TRUE DAD can do. Our father in Heaven, is where I pray you will look to. When you look to me you will see the failures and mistakes, but looking to Him you will see second chances. Looking at me you will see selfishness and pride, while looking to Him you will see servanthood and humility.

As I approach the years beyond the turmoil I have caused in my life the lens of which I see things has changed. I can see today that through the eyes of our Father, the mistakes led to repentance and repentance leads to change. The change brings transparency and with transparency, you can live a life with no secrets. The woman you will marry will be marrying a man of purity and righteousness as the Father has said that YOU ARE. Through your faith in Christ you are loved, you are a son of the TRUE DAD, and He is well pleased with you…. TODAY! As you stand today, He is pleased with you. My feelings mean little compared to our King, but I am so proud of the man you are and the faith you have shown throughout your youth.

Your story and your life in God are now the SPEAKERS for the voice of God to others and no one can change that. You are the only thing in the way of the proclamation of His Word. Proclaim it! Your story is yours, no one can take that from you. For if a man can receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is stronger still. Jesus is the way to life. Your story is His story.  You are loved, you are a son of the King, in you He is well pleased.
