This will be short and sweet.
Have you ever caught a frog? If you have then you know that it is a struggle to hold on to them. They squirm and try to jump. They are nervous. But once they calm down they can sit and relax in your hand. They are easy to hold on to and you can take them where they need to be.
That made me think of what we do with our Lord. He has us in His hands and we squirm and fight to reach out to Him but he already has us. We become like the frog. We make it hard to hold on to us. Not because God isn’t capable of keeping a grasp on us but because we fight thinking we have to do so much for Him not to drop us.
If we just relax in His hands and trust Him, things would be different. He would be able to take us to where we need to be much sooner. When we just stop struggling to reach out for Him and realize that he already has us then He can prepare us for the blessings he has already prepared for us. Then we will experience true freedom through Him.
I leave you with this:
“’For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, for I myself will help you,’ declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 41:13-14
