In The Need Of Prayer

Prayer

Matthew 6:9-14

“This, then, is how you should pray:

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one’

14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Prayer, it’s what I need always. In the middle of various things right now and this is at the front of my mind, it’s no wonder this topic has been in my places of worship to assist me. Staying sharp and focused in all areas, away from distractions, in full communion with our Lord, there is my focus in this time.

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name”, I’ll acknowledge Him in His Holiness. I’ll praise Him for all that he has done, and will do to His glory and fulfilling of his purpose. Psalm 34:1 “I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.”

10 “your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.”
I’ll pray His will be done, not my purpose fulfilled. I must bring my desires into His will. My forethought brought into my life reflecting His purpose. The family He has allowed me to be blessed with and steward over, seeking His goals first. My life, seeking the lost to shine a light unto. Teaching others that we may continue sending out that light in new disciples to impact this world. If my desires align unto His, I can rest assured he’ll see them through, in His fashioning. “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matt. 6:33.

James 4:2-3 “You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”

11 “Give us today our daily bread.” Pray for those needs and desires. Pray for your families, leaders, and bosses, those who are around you and over you, in whom God has allowed and blesses you through. Pray for those sustaining provisions needed. Philippians 4:19 “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Thank Him specifically for all he has done and will do.

12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors. We have made mistakes, sinned, and yet He offers forgiveness. Accept that gift offered, you are loved. Now, extend that forgiveness to others. Bear with each other and forgive Colossians 3:13Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

13 ” And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’ Pray for God’s protection. Pray for yourself and families, and friends, brethren. Prepare for the days of battle. 1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes…” Ephesians 6:10-17

Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Lord. Return to praise and recommit yourself to His purpose. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Our father in heaven, yours is the name above all. It’s you we seek, to have your face shine on us. Help us to put your will first in all we do. Thank you for how you will meet all our needs today, and lead us into further understanding of the life we have. Thank you for your forgiveness, and help us to extend that to all as well. As we go on our days, give us a hedge of protection. Protect us as we go forward and our families and we thank you for all in Jesus name, Amen.
