Draw the Line

Draw the Line

Proverbs 13:20

20 Walk with the wise and become wise,
for a companion of fools suffers harm.

Where do you draw the lines with your companionship? Who’s your tight-knit circle of friends? If we desire healthy bodies we must to eat properly. Unhealthy in, promotes an unhealthy inside and outside. Well, the same could be said of our own minds and lives. Matt. 6:23  “But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”

Today let us consider the close friends we build around us. We certainly don’t forget about those in need, but, this is our focus. What will help you in your need? Who are your 5 closest personal friends of inspiration and accounting? Can you name 10? Hebrews 10:24-25, “and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

Remember, 1 Corinthians 15:33 “Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.” We must choose to keep the right company that will inspire us as men, father’s, husbands, business men. Remember its walking with the wise that will increase our wisdom, in a multitude of areas. The companions of fools, don’t ingest that harm.

Lord, help us today to find like-minded companions. Men and women with the mind of Christ. Direct or paths and put a hedge of protection around us, that we may live a life pleasing to you. In your name, Amen.
